Motorcyclist Dies after Colliding with Sedan at Harris and Old River Roads in Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 15, 2022) – A man was killed in a motorcycle accident at Harris Road and Old River Road on Sunday evening.
 
The accident happened just before 8:00 p.m. on March 13. According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the man was riding his off-road mini-motorcycle when a four-door sedan struck him.
 
As a result, the man suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. The Kern County Coroner’s Office withheld his identity pending family notification.
 
The driver of the sedan stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
 
According to police, the mini-motorcycle was not street legal and did not have lights at the time of the crash.
 
Drugs or alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call the Bakersfield police at 661-327-7111.
