Police Chase Leads to Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Glendora Avenue in West Covina

 
WEST COVINA, CA (August 24, 2021) – Police confirmed that a man died in a motorcycle accident on Glendora Avenue on August 18.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Merced Avenue shortly after 1:00 AM.
 
Based on reports, officers spotted the victim in a Triumph motorcycle going more than 100 mph. Then, they caught up with the rider but the victim did not pull over. Instead, he got off of the westbound side of the freeway and the officers lost sight of him. Subsequently, the motorcyclist ran a red light at Glendora and crashed into a Toyota Camry that was heading west on Merced.
 
As a result, the crash ejected the helmeted rider to the roadway. The victim died in the incident. The coroner’s office only identified him as a 34-year-old La Puente man. The 35-year-old West Covina woman driving the Camry and her passenger, a 40-year-old West Covina man, sustained minor injuries.
 
At this point, this motorcycle accident on Glendora Avenue is still under investigation. Also, no other details are available.
