Fatal Fresno Motorcycle Accident at Ashlan Avenue and Cedar Avenue

 
FRESNO, CA (February 3, 2021) – A man died in a motorcycle accident near Ashlan Avenue and Cedar Avenue in central Fresno.
 
According to the Fresno Police Department, the accident happened around 6:00 p.m. Tuesday evening, January 26.
 
Police said the motorcyclist in his 20s was going west on Ashlan Avenue when a truck driver tried making a turn into a shopping center and hit him.
 
The motorcyclist was thrown onto the roadway and sustained significant injuries as a result of the impact.
 
Emergency crews transported the motorcyclist to a hospital, where he later died. However, authorities withheld the name of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
The truck driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
 
Investigators did not release details about other possible injuries sustained in the collision at Ashlan Avenue and Cedar Avenue. However, CHP continues to investigate the cause of this fatal accident.
