Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Antelope Valley Freeway in Acton

 
ACTON, CA (March 18, 2021) – A man was killed in a motorcycle accident on Antelope Valley (14) Freeway in Acton Tuesday evening, March 16.
 
The accident happened around 7:35 p.m. south of Santiago Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
 
CHP officials said the man was riding his Honda 1800 motorcycle in the first lane of the freeway when he veered to the left for unknown reasons. The motorcycle then struck a metal guardrail, ejecting the rider.
 
First responders tried saving the victim, but he died at the scene. Authorities only identify the man as a 43-year-old Lancaster resident.
 
It is unclear if speed, drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident. Further investigation is underway.
