Man Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Trinity River Drive in Rancho Cordova

 
RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (November 10, 2021) – A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash at Trinity River Drive and Sunrise Boulevard late Monday evening.
 
The fatal crash happened just after 10:00 p.m. on November 8. According to the Rancho Cordova Police Department, the male pedestrian was crossing the intersection when a vehicle struck him.
 
After striking the victim, the involved driver did not stop to render aid.
 
Arriving deputies found the man lying in the roadway and was unresponsive. Paramedics attempted life-saving measures, but the man died at the scene.
 
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office withheld the victim’s identity pending notification of family.
 
Detectives have since taken over the investigation and have gathered evidence, including interviewing witnesses. Still, no description about a possible suspect vehicle has been released at this point.
