Man Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver During Altercation on 3rd Street in Downtown LA

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (November 29, 2021) – A 26-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run on 3rd Street in downtown Los Angeles early Wednesday morning.
 
The fatal crash happened around 2:15 a.m. in the 700 block of east 3rd Street, near the EightyTwo bar. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the victim was fighting with another man, who was also 26 years old.
 
Duriing their altercation, the other man got into his vehicle and struck the victim before fleeing the scene.
 
Responding paramedics took the victim to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Officials have not identified the man at this time pending next of kin notification.
 
No arrests were reported later Wednesday, and police did not provide a description of the suspect.
 
It is unclear what led to the altercation and no further details were immediately available. Further investigation is underway.
