Man Dies in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Highway 101

 
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (September 15, 2021) — A man died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Highway 101 near Cesar Chavez Street Saturday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened around 1:00 a.m. Under unclear circumstances, a vehicle struck a man near Cesar Chavez Street. Shortly after, CHP officers found him lying on the shoulder of the highway and pronounced him dead.
 
According to officers, the man had suffered injuries consistent with that of being hit by a vehicle.
 
At this time, reports have not identified the fatal victim or the circumstances of the pedestrian crash. However, officers would like to encourage any witnesses in this crash to come forward and help with the investigation.
