Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver and 2 More Vehicles on Pacific Avenue in Long Beach

 
LONG BEACH, CA (January 2, 2023) – A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Pacific Avenue in Long Beach Saturday night on December 31.
 
The fatal crash happened around 6:45 p.m. at 27th Street. According to the Long Beach Police Department, the male pedestrian was crossing Pacific Avenue outside of a crosswalk when a vehicle struck him and took off.
 
While lying on the roadway, two more vehicles hit the man. The drivers of those two vehicles stayed and cooperated with police.
 
The man suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was not yet identified.
 
Police are still investigating the crash and on the lookout for the hit-and-run suspect.
