Man Walking Outside Crosswalk Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Oro Dam Boulevard

 
OROVILLE, CA (November 27, 2022) – A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Oro Dam Boulevard in Oroville late Friday afternoon on November 25.
 
The fatal crash happened around 5:30 p.m. at East Lincoln Street. According to the Oroville Police Department, the man was crossing Oro Dam Boulevard outside of the crosswalk when a tan Ford F-250 struck him.
 
After the crash, the driver of the pickup truck fled the scene leaving the man with major injuries.
 
First responders performed life-saving measures on the man, but he died at the scene.
 
The victim’s identity was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
 
Police are still investigating the crash and searching for the hit-and-run suspect.
