Man Killed in Hit-and-Run on El Camino Avenue [Sacramento, CA]

1 Dead in Hit-and-Run on El Camino Avenue near Business 80 in Sacramento

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (January 28, 2022) – A man was killed in a hit-and-run accident on El Camino Avenue, early Thursday morning.
 
According to the Sacramento Police Department, the incident happened on January 27 at about 2:30 a.m. Responders reportedly found an unoccupied vehicle that looked to have been involved in a crash. However, they could not locate the driver of the vehicle.
 
A short time later, investigators located a blue minivan that had gotten off the roadway at El Camino Avenue. As per reports, the wrecked vehicle came to a rest near Business 80.
 
Crews later pronounced the driver of the minivan dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
