Man Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Accident on Indiana Street from Dennison Street

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 18, 2022) — A man died in a hit-and-run crash on Indiana Street on Tuesday, April 12.
 
According to LAPD Central Traffic Division, the crash happened at around 8:00 p.m. The victim was walking across Indiana Street from Dennison Street. Then a dark-colored Jeep Cherokee struck him.
 
The impact of the incident catapulted the man into the air and he landed on the pavement. Medics declared him dead at the scene. Officials withheld his identity pending family notification.
 
The driver left the scene without checking on the victim or looking to help. Bystanders last saw the involved vehicle heading westbound on Olympic Boulevard from Indiana Street.
 
Authorities believe the vehicle is a dark-colored 1997 to 2001 Jeep Cherokee with black rims. It probably has extensive front-end damage and a broken driver-side headlight, police said.
 
Officials offer a $50,000 reward in the case.
