Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Highway 247 in Barstow

 
BARSTOW, CA (August 14, 2024) – A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Highway 247 in Barstow Tuesday morning on August 13.
 
The fatal crash happened around 5:00 a.m. near Bonanza Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, an unknown vehicle struck the male pedestrian and took off without stopping.
 
First responders found the pedestrian dead along the highway. The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
At this time, the suspect remains at large.
 
CHP officials are still investigating the crash and on the lookout for the hit-and-run driver.
