Man Dies in Hit-and-Run Bicycle Crash on Power Inn Road

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (July 7, 2021) — A man died in a hit-and-run bicycle accident on Power Inn Road at Blackhawk Drive Saturday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal incident happened around 5:45 p.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in a newer Toyota SUV struck the 76-year-old bicyclist who was riding against traffic along Power Inn Road.
 
Following the impact, the driver stopped but drove off quickly before making a right on Loucreta Drive.
 
As a result of the crash, the 76-year-old man died from his severe injuries.
