High-Speed Accident on Highway 138 in Lancaster Kills SUV Driver

 
LANCASTER, CA (January 17, 2022) – A man was killed in a high-speed accident on Highway 138 in Lancaster on Thursday evening.
 
The accident happened around 9:30 p.m. on January 13 at West Avenue D. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Chevrolet Suburban was traveling at a high rate of speed when it lost control.
 
It then sideswiped into a big rig that was traveling in the opposite direction.
 
As a result, the male driver of the SUV suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
CHP officials said it is unknown if alcohol was a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
