Man Dies in High-Speed Crash on 11th Street in Tracy

 
TRACY, CA (February 21, 2022) — A man died in a high-speed accident on 11th Street near Civic Center Drive on Thursday night.
 
According to Tracy Police, the high-speed crash happened around 9:46 p.m. For unknown reasons, a 27-year-old operating a black 2009 Pontiac was bearing down westbound East 11th Street.
 
Subsequently, the driver left the road and veered into the Tracy Police Department‘s north parking lot, crashing into four parked police cars and a tree.
 
Soon after, two officers checked on the 27-year-old driver and pulled him out of the wreckage to perform life-saving efforts. Not long after, paramedics responded and transported the victim to a hospital where he died shortly after.
 
At this time, investigators have not confirmed whether drugs or alcohol played a factor in the accident. However, if anyone has additional information, please contact police officers.
