Man Killed in Head-On Accident on Pole Line Road at County Road 29 [Davis, CA]

Head-On Crash on Pole Line Road in Davis Kills 1 and Injures 4

 
DAVIS, CA (March 27, 2021) – A man was killed in a head-on accident on Pole Line Road in Davis Friday evening, March 26.
 
The accident happened just after 7:00 p.m. at County Road 29. According to the California Highway Patrol, an older-model Honda sedan was traveling northbound on Pole Line Road when it swerved into the path of oncoming traffic. It then collided head-on with a southbound Ford Econoline van.
 
The Ford van overturned from the impact and landed in a ditch.
 
The Woodland man who was driving the Honda suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics took three people in the van, a woman and three men, to a hospital for treatment of their injuries. Authorities said the man who was driving the van suffered a broken leg.
 
Pole Line Road was closed as authorities examined and cleared the scene.
 
CHP officials are still investigating the exact cause of the crash and factors involved.
