Head-On Accident on Fruit Avenue in Northwest Fresno Kills 1
FRESNO, CA (July 31, 2022) – A man died in a head-on accident on Fruit Avenue in northwest Fresno on Friday evening, July 29.
The accident happened shortly after 9:00 p.m. just south of Tenaya Way. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was driving a Toyota Scion when he veered into the path of a Nissan Altima, driven by a 15-year-old boy from Fresno. The vehicles then collided head-on.
As a result of the crash, the man suffered critical injuries and died at the scene. He was a 57-year-old Fresno resident. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Meanwhile, paramedics took the boy to a hospital with minor injuries.
The CHP is still investigating the accident. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor.
