Fiery Hit-and-Run Crash on Alondra Boulevard in Compton Kills 1 Driver

 
COMPTON, CA (July 1, 2022) – A man died in a fiery hit-and-run crash at Alondra Boulevard and Petrolia Avenue in Compton on Thursday evening.
 
The fatal crash happened just after 10:30 p.m. on June 30. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, a Nissan Altima and another vehicle were both traveling in the same direction with they collided for unknown reasons. The impact caused the Nissan to slam into a tree in the center divider and burst into flames.
 
The male driver of the Nissan suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was not yet identified.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the other vehicle fled the scene and remains at large.
 
Deputies are still investigating the crash and on the lookout for the hit-and-run suspect.
