Early Morning Fiery Accident on 210 Freeway in San Dimas Kills Driver and Two Dogs

 
SAN DIMAS, CA (February 14, 2022) – A man was killed in fiery crash on 210 Freeway in San Dimas, early Thursday morning.
 
The accident happened around 4:22 a.m. on February 10 just west of San Dimas Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was driving a 1994 Chevrolet Express van when he collided with a small tractor trailer for unknown reasons. The van then hit a sound wall, overturned and burst into flames.
 
Los Angeles County Fire Department crews responded and extinguished the fire, but the man driving the van died at the scene. Two dogs inside the van were also killed.
 
The driver of the trailer, a 45-year-old Whittier man, was unharmed.
 
Alcohol or drugs were not factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.
