90-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by Vehicle at 90th Street East and East Palmdale Boulevard

 
LITTLEROCK, CA (November 9, 2021) – A man died in a pedestrian accident at 90th Street East and East Palmdale Boulevard in Littlerock early Monday morning.
 
The accident happened just before 5:00 a.m. on November 8. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 90-year-old man from Palmdale was walking in the northbound traffic lane in a dimly lit area of roadway when an SUV struck him.
 
The motorist, 37-year-old Edith Arriaga Vazquez of Littlerock, remained on scene. She told authorities that she was unable to see the victim until it was too late for her to stop her vehicle.
 
The man died at the scene. Authorities withheld his name pending notification of his relatives.
 
At this time, the involvement of alcohol and/or drugs is unknown. This fatality is still under investigation. Anyone with information on the case was urged to call the CHP Antelope Valley Area office at 661-948-8541.
