Bicyclist Gerald Webb Killed in Redding Accident

 
REDDING, CA (April 15, 2021) – The Shasta County Coroner’s Office has identified the man killed in an early morning crash in north Redding.
 
Redding police said the collision happened around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday on southbound North Market Street at Caterpillar Road.
 
The driver of a 2010 Toyota Prius she struck a man who was in the roadway, either walking or riding his motorized bicycle, according to police.
 
36-year-old Gerald Michael Webb of French Gulch was identified by the coroner’s office as the bicyclist killed.
 
Alcohol and or drugs do not appear to be a factor in this collision, police said. However, the case remains under investigation by the Redding Police Department.
