Bicyclist Dies after Struck by SUV on Main Street in Hesperia

 
HESPERIA, CA (November 30, 2021) – A man died in a bicycle accident at Main Street and G Avenue in Hesperia on Sunday, November 21.
 
The accident happened around 7:34 p.m. According to the Hesperia Sheriff Station, the man was riding his bicycle and was crossing Main Street when a 2002 Chevrolet Suburban struck him.
 
The impact caused the bicyclist major injuries. Responding fire crews requested an air ambulance to transport the victim to a trauma center.
 
Despite life-saving efforts at the hospital, the bicyclist died Monday.
 
The San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office only described the victim as a 46-year-old man.
 
It does not appear drugs and/or alcohol were factors in this crash, the sheriff’s report said.
