Man Killed in Bicycle Accident on Jackson Avenue [San Jose, CA]

Man Fatally Injured in Bicycle Accident on Jackson Avenue near McKee Road

 
SAN JOSE, CA (August 9, 2021) — A man died from sustained injuries in a bicycle accident on Jackson Avenue on Monday, August 2.
 
According to the police, the incident happened at around 11:00 p.m. when a male bicyclist moved north on North Jackson Avenue. Then a driver in a 2014 Jeep moving west on McKee Road struck him.
 
Medics rushed the injured man to a local hospital where he died Tuesday.
 
Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office has not yet released his name. They are still pending formal identification and notification of his next of kin.
 
The Jeep driver remained at the scene. The initial investigation determined that the rider moved against a red light.
