Man Dies in 2-Car Crash on Indian Valley Road in San Miguel

 
SAN MIGUEL, CA (April 6, 2022) — A man died in a car accident on Indian Valley Road at Vineyard Canyon Road on Monday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle accident occurred around 3:35 p.m. For unknown reasons, a 19-year-old man driving a northbound Mazda3 at an unknown speed made a left turn into the path of a southbound Chevy Traverse traveling on Vineyard Canyon Road.
 
As a result, both vehicles collided head-on.
 
Due to the manner of the accident, a 24-year-old Paso Robles man riding inside the Mazda suffered major injuries and died shortly after. Police have not released his name pending notification of next of kin.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics aided the 19-year-old Mazda driver who suffered moderate injuries and the 40-year-old San Miguel man operating the Chevy Traverse who reported minor wounds.
