Man Hurt in Street Sweeper Accident on Mission Gorge Road

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (November 24, 2021) — A man suffered multiple injuries in a street sweeper crash on Mission Gorge Road near Goen Place early Tuesday.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, the accident happened around 5:00 a.m. For unknown reasons, a 34-year old man driving westbound on Mission Gorge Road collided with the rear of a street sweeper.
 
As a result of the collision, the 52-year old man operating the street sweeper suffered a broken sternum, fractured ribs and internal injuries.
 
In the investigation, officers learned that the driver of the vehicle did not see the street sweeper, resulting in a crash. At this time, the crash requires additional examination. Therefore, any witnesses with information should contact the San Diego Police.
