Pedestrian Sustains Injuries after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Limonite Avenue in Jurupa Valley

 
JURUPA VALLEY, CA (January 24, 2022) – A man in his 50s sustained injuries in a pedestrian hit-and-run on Limonite Avenue in Jurupa Valley on Thursday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 12:45 p.m. on January 24, near Van Buren Boulevard. According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the man walked onto Limonite Avenue and stopped traffic. It prompted the driver of a 2007 Ford F350 to get out of his vehicle and demand the pedestrian to move.
 
An altercation occurred between the two men in the middle of the street. When the driver returned to his pickup, he struck the victim with his vehicle and fled the scene.
 
Paramedics arrived soon after and took the pedestrian to a hospital with minor injuries.
 
At this time, the hit-and-run suspect remained at large.
