Hit-and-Run on El Cajon Boulevard in San Diego Leaves Pedestrian with Injuries

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (June 1 2021) – A 49-year-old man was injured in a pedestrian hit-and-run on El Cajon Boulevard in San Diego early Monday morning.
 
The incident happened just after 1:20 a.m. on May 31, in the 6600 block of El Cajon Boulevard. According to the San Diego Police Department, the man was crossing in the area, in an unmarked crosswalk, when an eastbound dark sedan struck him.
 
The motorist then fled the scene without rendering aid.
 
Paramedics transported the victim to a hospital for treatment of an open fracture of his lower right leg.
 
Police are still investigating the incident and searching for the hit-and-run suspect.
