According to the Red Bluff Police Department, a 2005 GMC pickup truck hit the 41-year-old male pedestrian in 700 block of Main Street around 8:30 p.m.
Police said the pedestrian was walking west across Main Street, outside of a marked crosswalk, and directly into the path of the pickup that was heading south.
The pickup truck, driven by a 55-year-old man, then struck the victim.
Paramedics arrived and took the pedestrian to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
