Man Hurt in Pedestrian Crash on M Street in Merced

 
MERCED, CA (April 28, 2022) — A man was injured in a pedestrian accident on M Street at Olive Avenue on Tuesday night.
 
According to the Merced Police Department, the pedestrian crash happened around 8:45 p.m. For unknown reasons, a driver heading eastbound on Olive Avenue made a right turn and struck the man in the crosswalk.
 
Shortly after, paramedics reached the scene and took the victim to a hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. Meanwhile, the driver stayed at the scene for investigators.
 
At this time, authorities do not suspect drugs or alcohol to have played a role in the accident. However, if any witnesses have more information, please call the Merced Police.
