Man Hospitalized in Desert Hot Springs Pedestrian Accident on 6th Street

 
DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA (March 9, 2021) — A man was injured in a pedestrian accident on 6th Street near Cactus Drive Thursday evening.
 
According to officials, the crash happened around 6:30 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver struck a male pedestrian while heading westbound on 6th Street.
 
For unknown reasons, the 34-year-old driver from Desert Hot Springs left the area yet returned shortly after.
 
Due to the nature of the crash, the 60-year-old pedestrian sustained critical injuries. As of now, officials have yet to report his current condition.
 
Per witnesses, the pedestrian demonstrated signs of intoxication. As he wandered along 6th Street before the accident, he purportedly lost his balance and fell onto the street.
