Man Hurt in Watsonville Motorcycle Crash on Harkins Slough Road

 
WATSONVILLE, CA (June 21, 2021)— A man was injured in a motorcycle accident on Harkins Slough Road at Sunset Vista Drive Saturday afternoon.
 
According To Watsonville police, the collision happened around 3:30 p.m. Per reports, a Jeep SUV driver tried to make a left turn from Sunset Vista Drive onto Ohlone Parkway. However, an accident occurred with the Suzuki motorcycle when the Jeep veered into its path.
 
Due to the impact, the unidentified motorcyclist became pinned underneath the SUV and required extrication by firefighters shortly after.
 
As a result of his injuries, CALSTAR air ambulance responded and took him to an out-of-county trauma center for treatment of serious injuries.
 
At this point, authorities believe it may be too early to determine if DUI played a role. Although, if any witnesses would like to add to this crash, please contact the Watsonville police.
