Man Rushed to Hospital, Hemet Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on State Street
HEMET, CA (September 21, 2023) — A man was injured in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on State Street near Oakland Avenue.
According to the Hemet Police Department, the hit-and-run happened around 3:40 a.m. Wednesday. For an unknown reason, a driver left the scene after hitting a pedestrian in the southbound No. 2 lane of State Street.
Soon after, paramedics and officers arrived in the 600 block of North State Street to find the victim with major life-threatening injuries. Medics rushed the individual to a regional trauma center for treatment.
At this time, officers do not know anything about the suspect or vehicle involved. However, they are looking into nearby surveillance footage for assistance.
