Pedestrian Suffers Injuries and Not Expected to Survive after Struck by Hit-and-Run Vehicle on Linda Vista Road

 
LINDA VISTA, CA (January 5, 2023) – A man suffered injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Linda Vista Road early Sunday morning on January 1.
 
The crash happened shortly after 2:00 a.m. at Mollie Street, just near the University of San Diego. According to the San Diego Police Department, the man was walking in the area when he stepped into the pathway of a 2009 Nissan Versa that was heading westbound on Linda Vista.

The 25-year-old female driver of the Nissan struck the victim. She initially fled the scene but returned moments later.

First responders rushed the man to local hospital. Police said the victim is not expected to survive his injuries.

Police took the woman into custody. An investigation is underway.
