Head-On Accident on Highway 138 in Phelan Sends 1 Driver to Hospital

 
PHELAN, CA (June 29, 2022) – A man was injured in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 138 in Phelan on Sunday afternoon, June 26.
 
The accident happened around 1:50 p.m. about a mile from 15 Freeway at the sharp turn of the highway. According the CHP, a red Ford F150 pickup truck lost control for unknown reasons and collided head-on with a black Ford F-150 pickup truck.
 
San Bernardino County Fire Department crews responded and located a male driver with injuries to his face and both arms. The driver also complained of pain.
 
A medical helicopter transported the patient to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for proper treatment.
 
The condition of the other driver was not immediately known.
 
The exact cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
