Man Suffers Leg Injuries in San Diego Head-On Accident on Via De La Valle

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (April 29, 2022) – A 20-year-old man suffered leg injuries in a head-on accident on Via De La Valle on Wednesday afternoon.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident happened on April 27 at about 3:51 p.m. An eastbound 1999 blue Mazda Miata reportedly entered the two-way center lane in the 14900 block of Via De La Valle.
 
Then, the Mazda collided head-on with a westbound silver 2022 Chevrolet Volt EV.
 
Emergency crews transported the 20-year-old Mazda driver to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, including a broken left femur.
 
Meanwhile, the 16-year-old Chevrolet driver complained of having pain but was not hospitalized.
 
San Diego police ruled out drugs and alcohol as factors in the collision. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
