Man Hurt in North Park Electric Bicycle Accident on Lincoln Avenue

 
NORTH PARK, CA (May 25, 2021) — A man was injured in an electric bicycle accident on Lincoln Avenue near Arizona Street Sunday afternoon.
 
According to the San Diego Police, the crash happened around 4:45 p.m. For unknown reasons, a 2014 GMC Sierra pickup driving northbound in an alley collided with an electric scooter. Per reports, the truck driver, a 29-year-old man, began crossing Lincoln Avenue, yet in front of the 64-year-old bicyclist.
 
As a result, the bicyclist crashed into the side of the GMC and suffered non-life-threatening injuries, including a fractured right ankle.
