Man Hurt, Driver Arrested after Hit-and-Run Accident on West Nordhoff Street near Our Lady of Peace Church
LOS ANGELES, CA (September 7, 2021) — A man suffered severe injuries after a hit-and-run on Nordhoff Street on Thursday, August 26.
The incident happened shortly after 1:00 a.m. in the 15500 block of West Nordhoff Street near Our Lady of Peace Church.
According to Los Angeles police, several good Samaritans helped the injured man as he lay in the middle of the street. One of the bystanders is an off-duty emergency medical technician.
Emergency responders rushed him to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center with severe injuries. His condition was not immediately available.
Sometime later, California Highway Patrol officers pulled over the suspect car on Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Paxton Street.
During that time, the CHP officers did not know about the incident. Yet, they stopped the vehicle because it raised their suspicions. They noticed it had significant collision damage, police stated.
They later arrested the driver on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
