17-Year-Old Driver Involved in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Bennett Valley Road in Santa Rosa

 
SANTA ROSA, CA (September 14, 2021) – A man is now in critical condition following a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Bennett Valley Road on September 7.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Farmers Lane shortly after 9:00 PM.
 
Based on reports, the 60-year-old man was walking at the intersection outside a marked crosswalk at the time of the crash. For undetermined reasons, a van came and struck him. Subsequently, the vehicle did not stop at the scene.
 
As a result, the victim sustained life-threatening injuries. Immediately, paramedics transported him to the hospital for treatment.
 
Later on, police said the van driver, a 17-year-old boy returned to the crash site.
