Man Hospitalized after Pedestrian Accident on West Shaw Avenue [Fresno, CA]

Pedestrian Injured after Accident on West Shaw Avenue near North West Avenue in Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (January 21, 2022) – A man sustained injuries in a pedestrian accident on West Shaw Avenue, Wednesday evening.
 
According to the Fresno Police Department, the incident happened on January 19 at about 6:00 p.m. As per reports, the pedestrian attempted to cross outside of a marked crosswalk. Then, a westbound vehicle hit him near North West Avenue.
 
Emergency crews later transported the victim to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The current condition of the victim remains unknown.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
Fresno police continue to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
