MERCED COUNTY, CA (April 2, 2021) – Paramedics transported a man to the hospital following a pedestrian accident on Highway 140 on March 30.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Cunningham Road around 8:20 PM.
 
Based on a report, the victim was on the road at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a light-colored truck that was traveling eastbound on the highway struck him. Subsequently, officers said the driver of the truck drove away after the collision.
 
As a result, the victim suffered a broken leg in the incident. Crews airlifted him to the Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.
