Two Vehicles Involved in Pedestrian Accident on Churn Creek Road in Redding

 
REDDING, CA (November 23, 2021) – Paramedics transported one person to the hospital following a pedestrian accident on Churn Creek Road on November 18.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Mistletoe Lane around 8:47 PM.
 
Based on a report, the man was crossing the road outside of the crosswalk prior to the crash. Initially, a 2013 Honda Civic, driven by a 22-year-old Redding woman, struck him. Then, a 2016 Dodge Ram pickup truck, driven by a 43-year-old Redding man, struck him again.
 
As a result, the man suffered major injuries due to both incidents. Emergency personnel arrived on scene and transported him to Mercy Medical Center.
 
Redding police said drugs were not a factor in the incident. However, an investigation is ongoing. Also, police ask anyone with information to contact the Redding Police Department Traffic Unit.
 
Always give way to people crossing the street to prevent a pedestrian accident. In addition, avoid speeding and follow road regulations at all times. Also, stay at the scene and wait for rescue teams after an accident.
