Man in His 30s Dies after Hit by Vehicle on Sierra Avenue in Palmdale

 
PALMDALE, CA (August 31, 2021) – A man was hit and killed by a vehicle on Sierra Highway in Palmdale Wednesday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened around 9:09 p.m. on August 25, just south of Avenue S. According to the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station, the male pedestrian was walking northbound in the traffic lane of Sierra Highway when a Ford Explorer struck him.
 
As a result, the victim suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Authorities only described him as a Palmdale resident in his 30s.
 
The 34-year-old male driver told officers that he did not see the pedestrian due to the victim’s dark clothing.
