Man Struck, Killed by Crane on Belmont Avenue in Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (December 2, 2022) — A man was hit and killed by a crane on Belmont Avenue near Highway 99 Thursday morning.
 
According to Fresno Police, the fatal accident occurred around 10:00 a.m. For unknown reasons, a male pedestrian whose identity is unavailable at this time began crossing near Parkway Drive and Highway 99.
 
Subsequently, an operator of a large crane truck waiting to make a turn proceeded forward and struck the pedestrian who walked in front of the truck.
 
Due to the high profile of the truck, the driver did not see the pedestrian, per crash investigators.
