Man, Dog Struck and Injured by Driver near Poe Street in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (August 26, 2022) — A man and a dog were hit and injured by a car near Poe Street and Nimitz Boulevard on Thursday.
 
According to police, the pedestrian crash happened around 6:45 a.m. As a 56-year-old man was chasing after his dog, a woman driving a Jeep down the road struck him and his canine.
 
Soon after, paramedics arrived and rushed the injured man to a hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening wounds.
 
Meanwhile, officials brought the dog to the veterinarian’s office. However, the dog’s current condition is unknown at this time.
 
Following the accident, the woman pulled over and cooperated with police officers.
