Man Killed in Chowchilla Rollover Crash on Santa Fe Drive

 
CHOWCHILLA, CA (February 9, 2022) — A man died in a rollover accident on Santa Fe Drive near Sharon Street on Monday morning.
 
According to California Highway Patrol officers, the fatal single-car accident happened around 4:00 a.m. For unknown reasons, a 31-year-old man driving in a southbound vehicle swerved to the right.
 
Subsequently, the car overturned several times and ejected the driver and his passenger from the cabin.
 
Due to the nature of the crash, the driver succumbed to his injuries at the scene. As for the passenger, he refused medical treatment but did express pain.
 
At this time, investigators have not confirmed if DUI played a factor. Although, anyone with additional insight into the fatal accident should contact the CHP.
