LITTLEROCK, CA (August 25, 2021) — A man died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 138 near 96th Street Sunday night.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident occurred around 8:22 p.m. For unknown reasons, a 64-year-old Pearblossom man ran from the east shoulder, crossing the eastbound and the westbound lanes. Subsequently, a westbound 2019 Hyundai traveling at approximately 55 miles per hour struck the pedestrian.
 
Due to the nature of the accident, the man died at the scene. His name has been withheld pending notification of relatives.
 
As for the driver, the 50-year-old woman from Burbank stopped at the scene and cooperated with police investigators.
