DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA (February 2, 2022) — A man died in a pedestrian accident on Palm Drive at Estrella Avenue on Saturday night.
 
According to Desert Hot Springs Police, the fatal pedestrian crash happened around 10:22 p.m. For unknown reasons, a 67-year-old Desert Hot Springs woman driving northbound on Palm Drive struck a 29-year-old male transient crossing eastbound.
 
Subsequently, paramedics reached the scene and brought the male victim to Desert Regional Medical Center where the 27-year-old man died.
 
At this time, no arrests have been made as the driver informed authorities that she did not see the pedestrian until it had been too late. However, an ongoing investigation into the details of this pedestrian accident should confirm more information.
