HOLLYWOOD, CA (April 27, 2022) — A man died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 101 near Vermont Avenue on Monday night.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian crash occurred around 9:25 p.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in a Chevrolet Silverado struck a male pedestrian in the far-left lane.
 
Due to the crash, the pedestrian suffered severe injuries and died later at the scene.
 
Shortly after, officials closed the two far-right lanes of the freeway before reopening them at 10:20 p.m.
 
At this time, the leading cause of this pedestrian accident requires further investigation. Although, any witnesses with information should reach out to the CHP.
