Man Killed in Pedestrian Crash on 7th Street in Long Beach

 
LONG BEACH, CA (November 17, 2022) — A man died in a pedestrian accident on 7th Street near Rose Avenue Wednesday morning.
 
According to the Long Beach Police Department, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 3:20 a.m. Near Luther Burbank Elementary School, a westbound driver in a 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer struck a man crossing the intersection.
 
As a result of the accident, the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries at the scene. Authorities have withheld his name, pending notification of next of kin. As for the 23-year-old Mitsubishi driver, the individual stayed at the scene for police questioning.
 
Neither impairment nor distracted driving factored into the crash. Although, an investigation into the crash should confirm more details.
