Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Morton Avenue and Indiana Street in Porterville

 
PORTERVILLE, CA (July 18, 2022) — A man died in a motorcycle accident on Morton Avenue and Indiana Street early Sunday.
 
According to the Porterville Police Department, the fatal collision happened around 1:00 a.m. For unknown reasons, a 31-year-old man operating a motorcycle failed to stop at a stoplight and entered the intersection.
 
Subsequently, the motorcyclist crashed into a truck that had attempted to proceed through the intersection.
 
Shortly after, emergency personnel arrived at the scene and rushed the gravely injured motorcyclist to a hospital where he died from his injuries. As for the truck driver, he or she reported no wounds from the accident.
 
At this time, authorities have not released the victim’s name and the factors that contributed to the accident. However, we will update this report once we receive more information.
